Ministries

Sunday Worship

We meet each Sunday at 10:30am. We believe this time is more than an event or something we do each week. This is a time each week for the body of Christ to come together and praise His name. As the body of Christ, we are sinners saved by grace. Our church is full of imperfect people striving for and encouraging one another toward Christ Jesus, and that should make you feel all the more welcome. As we have all fallen short of God’s glory and need a Savior—Jesus Christ.

In our service you’ll experience a blend of Hymns, familiar songs, and new songs as our worship team leads us to sing for God’s glory each week. During the sermon, you’ll hear God’s Word preached in way that meets our spiritual needs today without compromising the integrity of the Scriptures.

If you’re wondering what to wear, we invite you to come as you are, whether it’s shorts or a suit that you’re most comfortable in. We tend to dress pretty casual.

If you have kids, they’re invited to attend one of our three children’s ministries that take place each week. We have volunteers who enjoy ministering to children of all ages. Our children’s ministry targets three groups: Nursery (0-2), LittleLife (3-4), and KidLife (K-6th). For more info on our children’s ministry, see our section on “Children.”

If you’ve never experienced a Sunday morning service at New Life Church Magnolia and you’re looking for a church home, we invite you to join us this Sunday morning!

Children

Our children’s ministry meets each Sunday at 10:30am and consists of three different ministries: Nursery (0-2), LittleLife (3-4), and KidLife (K-6th). Each of these are the care of our Children’s Minister, Mandy McLelland. Mandy, a wife to Shane and mom of three, has always had a special place in her heart for children’s ministry. She volunteers her time to serve the people and children of NLCM on a weekly basis. There are several other members of NLCM who have volunteered their time and talent to serve in our children’s ministry alongside Mandy.

In Nursery, your child(ren) will experience a time of playing and napping (if they so choose) under the care of our Nursery volunteers.

In LittleLife, your child(ren) will experience a time of bible lesson, playing, snacks, and crafts under the care of our LittleLife volunteers.

In KidLife, your child(ren) will experience a time of bible lesson, worship, and games under the care of our KidLife volunteers.

Students (7th-12th)

Our student ministry, The Vibe, for anyone in 7th-12th grade, meets each Monday, 6:30pm, at Matt and Minna Green’s home. Our student ministers are Matt and Minna Green. Matt and Minna have a special place in their heart for student ministry a desire to see each student’s life transformed by God’s love for them. They volunteer their time to serve the students of The Vibe on a weekly basis. There are several other members of NLCM who have volunteered their time and talent to serve in our student ministry alongside Matt and Minna.

At The Vibe, your student(s) will experience bible study, conversations around the bible and the life situations that students face each day, worship, and a meal.

College/Young Adults

This ministry is for anyone who finds themselves out of high school, in college, or just out of college, not yet married and looking for a place to find other people in the same life stage. Our college and young adult ministers are Seth and Lauren Pinner. Seth and Lauren have a strong desire to see God impact this generation of young adults for their good and for His glory. The Pinner’s are joined each week by other members of NLCM who volunteer their time to serve. This ministry meets weekly at Seth and Lauren’s home during our Home Group semesters, which follow the school schedule.

When you attend this group, you will experience bible study, conversations around the bible and the life situations that you face each day, and a meal.

Home Groups

Home Groups are one of the best things about our church. Home Groups are gospel communities—the place where discipleship happens. The Christian faith was not meant to be lived in isolation. We are made for community—relationship with God and with one another.

Home Groups are made up of men and women from all walks of life; these groups meet weekly, during our Home Group semesters, which follow the school schedule, for dinner, fellowship, care, prayer, accountability, sharing stories about life, and the study of God’s Word.

Recovery Groups

Recovery Groups are much like Home Groups in that they are gospel communities. These groups are designed to minister to anyone who is dealing with a hurt (i.e. Abuse, Neglect, Betrayal), a habit (i.e. Drugs, Alcohol, Porn), or a hang up (i.e. Anger, Anxiety, Fear).

Our Recovery Groups meet on Thursdays, 6-8pm, and they will be using the Celebrate Recovery material each week.

When you attend this group, your experience will be divided into two parts. The first hour will be worship, testimony, and teaching. In the second hour, you will be divided into groups based on your needs and participate in a time of conversations around your needs and God’s Word. Childcare will be provided each week.

For more information about any ministry call the church office, message us on Facebook, or send us an email. We look forward to being able to minister to your family soon!
